Who we are

Double-Edged Studios is a collection of nerds tired of seeing our hobbies used as bludgeons to score points in the realms of politics and the so-called “culture war.” Over the last several years, we’ve watched the custodians of some of our favorite pastimes turn on both their own fans and the individuals who invented the hobbies they now curate, saying that nerd culture would be better off without people like them.

We disagree.

Nerdy hobbies like RPGs, tabletop gaming, and sci-fi and fantasy stories should be open to anyone with the grit to dive into them with passion and curiosity. We believe in comic shop arguments. We believe that a love for the hobby should matter more than religious or political affiliation. We believe that when disagreements arise, every group of gamers has the right to decide what they will and will not tolerate, not that these calls should be made from the top down by huge corporations.
